Falls are a significant problem for people with MS. Studies suggest that up to 70% of people will fall in a three month period. Dr Susan Coote is a founding member of the International MS Fall Prevention Research Network. The IMSFPRN, by Prof Marcia Finlayson, aims to develop and evaluate treatments to reduce falls in people with MS.
We currently have several projects that are working towards the goals of identifying who is at risk of falls and designing interventions to reduce falls.
