Laura Comber


Laura graduated from the University of Limerick in 2014 with a First Class Honours degree in BSc Physiotherapy. Following graduation she worked as a research assistant with the MS Research team at UL assisting in studies investigating falls prevention for people with MS. In 2015 Laura received funding by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland through the Ireland Fund to pursue a PhD in this area. 


Laura’s PhD is investigating falls prevention interventions for people with MS. Currently her work is based on gaining the insight of patients (CCC) ,clinicians (SSI) and exploring existing literature with the goal of producing an evidence-based falls prevention intervention by the end of her PhD.


Laura also works in Private Practice in Limerick, a range of sports teams and delivers exercise classes to people with MS in the community through the Midwest branch of the MS Ireland society in Limerick. She is currently an active member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and the Physiotherapist Interested in MS (PIMS) group.
